'We give the Devil more credit than he deserves, and don't take responsibility for what we bring on ourselves.''
I spent a good bit of time with the guy all the other doctors call ''The best neurologist in Virginia and possibly the country.'' this afternoon. We discussed the issues that have been going on that was misdiagnosed as neuritis that's actually my central nervous system going crazy. My internal temp is normal But my head, upper torso, and the entire right side of my body read 106+ with the thermometer the nurse rolls over the skin. Basically, he said the same part of the brain stem that causes my central apnea (it sometimes forgets to tell me to breath) has the ends of the nerves and skin thinking it's basically severely burned.
Fans, AC, and ice don't take the feeling away but do ease it a little. After getting this news and finding out I can't get these abscessed teeth out till July 3rd we were driving home not talking and no music was on just the sounds of the road and pain in my body. Suddenly as I sit thinking of the amount of pain I was in a song came to mind.
Now, I wish I could say the Lord sent it o me. I kind of wish I could blame it on the devil. But, sadly I filed it there when I was 13 not going to church and hadn't thought about it in 26+ years. Yet somehow the same fleshly mind playing tricks on me physically putting me in physical pain thought it was the perfect time to bring this chorus to mind;
"I'd be better off in a pine box
On a slow train back to Georgia
Or in the grey walls of a prison doing time
I think I'd rather die
And go to hell and face the devil"
The funny thing is the chorus has another line that makes it not close to my situation but I couldn't remember the last line till I searched for it. My brain must have thought the cheating woman line wouldn't send me in the direction it wanted me to go...
Well it didn't work me and my wife began praying and I started quoting scriptures in my mind and rebuking that memory. I'm gonna be real honest I can see how people can take a sudden downward spiral without JESUS to help them. Like I also said blaming the devil would have been easy. But, that thought was one I gladly opened the door to as a lost teenager and let it in at 13.
I say this all the time especially to youth; Be careful what you let in your mind that you can't get out. You never know when your flesh will use it against you!

The Husbands Duty!
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
As a married man these scriptures have meant a lot to me over the past 4 ½ years. It is a great commandment to us as men as to how we are to treat our wives. So many times we can put our families especially our wives on the back burner and think about jobs, hobbies, or ourselves first. However let me ask you does Christ place anything before the Church? Are we not first in his mind?
We men sometimes suffer from a lack of sense, as a man I can say that. It is inherit for some reason in men for us to want things to go our way or the highway. However as married men we have someone else to consider in every situation in life. Would you ever send your head across town and leave your body at home? When you make any decision with out considering your wife and how it will affect her and the relationship between you that's exactly what you have done. A head is useless with out a body! It can tell an arm to move but with out an arm there what good is it.
A lot of people use this scripture to say "I will die for my wife" but so few are willing to do what it really says and live for her. Do all you can for her. Tell her you love her. Jesus clearly lets the church know in so many ways how much He loves us. Jesus does things for the church beyond imagination and never ask anything in return. We should never treat our wives in a way that when we do any little thing for them we expect to receive payment or reward. This is a strong commandment concerning marriage and one when put into practice would save a lot of marriages from divorce. I found the following poem I will leave you with.
Tell Her So
Amid the cares of married life,
In spite of toil and business strife,
If you value your sweet wife,
Tell her so!
There was a time you thought it bliss
To get the favor of a kiss;
A dozen now won't come amiss-
Tell her so!
Do not act as if she has passed her prime,
As though to please her were a crime-
If e'er you loved her, now is the time;
Tell her so!
Never let her heart grow cold;
Richer beauties will unfold.
She is worth her weight in gold;
Tell her so!

Do you really believe in hell?
''Have you ever struggled with hell as I have? Do you have any parents, siblings, cousins, or friends who, based on what you have been taught, will end up in hell? What a bone-chilling thought. Until recently, whenever the idea of hell—and the idea of my loved ones possibly heading there—crossed my mind, I would brush it aside and divert my thinking to something more pleasant. While I’ve always believed in hell with my mind, I tried not to let the doctrine penetrate my heart."-Francis Chan
If you really believe in hell how can you live a life and not tell everyone you know that JESUS provided a way out? How can you keep your mouth shut about GOD in the world we live in?
“When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”

Remember that it is better to walk in the dark with God than to walk alone in the light.--The Still Small Voice
I like this quote but it reminds me that JESUS is the LIGHT in the darkness, so if I stumble into sin I do it in the light. GOD forbid I stumble into darkness while walking in GOD carelessly.
Psalm 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Presumptuous means willful. Meaning it wasn't an accident it was a choice that led you back into sin and darkness. It wasn't just an ''accident'', ''slip-up'', ''stumble'' or ''something I didn't see coming''. It was a CHOICE! You made an enlightened choice to choose sin over GOD. GOD keep me from ever making a choice to sin while your LIGHT shows me away of escape.
GOD Bless,
Jason

Words from an early American, are we measuring up?
"For
we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of
all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in
this work we have undertaken ... we shall be made a story and a by-word
throughout the world. We shall open the mouths of enemies to speak evil
of the ways of God. ... We shall shame the faces of many of
God's worthy servants, and cause their prayers to be turned into curses
upon us til we be consumed out of the good land whither we are
a-going."
John Winthrop
John Winthrop
I asked God!
“I asked God for strength that I might achieve. I was made weak that I
might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health that I might do greater
things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for
riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given
weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I
might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got
nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for. Almost despite
myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most
richly blessed.”
